Well...

Well I guess it's time for my semi-annual update of my blog. I really had intentions of staying on top of this and updating alot ( and i still have those intentions...). I wanted to tell family and friends about what was happening in my life, and also keep up with their blogs.

Although I do want to do the above, I think I want to start using this blog as more of a free writing type forum, where I can just kind of vent, or write whatever I want, because I feel like writing it. Maybe stories, idea's, thoughts, complaints, etc... I think from now on I'm going to update this more for me, and less to be informative to everyone else.

It does sound a little selfish, but I feel like if I do it this way, it will better for me to update and visit it more often.

So... here goes, its just random streams of thought, not always going to make sense or follow a logical path.. but I feel like writing so I'm going to do it.

Right now i'm sitting outside watching a thunderstorm on my porch in clemson. I really like this apartment, although I don't really like the management here. This storm was only really exciting for about 5-10 minutes, and other than that it has just been heavy rain. Heavy rain comes to clemson all the time, but storms have been very rare as of late.

I don't have any schoolwork to do today, so it has been a little odd, i feel like i'm being lazy and wasting my day, even though there isn't anything pressing to do. i sat around earlier watching a friend play video games earlier for 2 hours. It was awful. Not that I don't like him, but i felt like everything he did while playing was the exact opposite of how i would have done it, so it was fairly aggravating to watch.

I really wanted to go see that comedy movie "She's Out of My League" today, but no one else shared my enthusiasm, I'll probably not get to see it in theaters, which is of course the best way to see a movie. Things like that make me miss back in high school hanging out w/ JC and we used to do dumb things like that. I guess I could go see it alone, but that wouldn't really be 'socially acceptable,' I guess it would make me seem like a loser? But I've never really been bothered by any of that, I like doing stuff alone, and i'm perfectly ok being alone, in fact sometimes thats exactly what i want.

Speaking of JC, I really want to go see him in charleston, I know that now he is a bit of a party animal, but i still feel like brothers with the kid. we were so close at one time and now that we don't talk anymore I kind of miss that. Don't get me wrong, the kid is crazy, and honestly not alot like me at all, but that was alot of the fun of it, we had different views on Everything, but we still had a great time. Maybe I'll call him soon, and maybe go see him, I think it would be really good to see him and his family again. They'll probably make fun of me for getting fat, oh well.

Thats enough, i feel better actually.

Back In Clemson

Well, It's fall, summer is over, and I'm back in school.

I really enjoyed summer, especially being able to see My neices and nephew on a daily basis. They are growing wayyy too fast, and they are soo fun to play with! I'll miss Gabe, Ellie, and Maggie every day!

As much as I loved summer, I love being at Clemson that much and more. And it's not just about being away, or not working the 9-5. I miss my family alot, but being here is like being in a different world. Clemson as a place is so alive, so exciting, and so fun. I like going to class, and seeing all the other students in their routines too, freshmen who don't know where they are holding up huge maps, and us seniors, who by now know our way around all too well. Everything about this place, even the boring parts are just awesome to me. I'm definitely going to miss 'college life' this time next year.

I've got some pictures of my new apartment for all to see, I'm not good at uploading pictures on here so i hope it works.

This is my kitchen, kinda small but not bad, in the background is the laundry room
This is a shot at my bedroom, a little bare but oh well, I like it. HUGE Closet in the background
Another shot in my bedroom, and Yes, Mom, I do keep my room clean.

The couch and other chair facing the enormous TV

This is the living room, as you come in the front door, to see the couch, dining area and kitchen.

That's all for now, more later.

its been forever.

Wow, so i looked and the last time i updated this thing was in late february.

I'll just say alot has gone down since then.

so me, matt and lane are living together next year again, everyone except matt leitch, as us and him aren't on the best of terms lately...

right now i'm in alabama working at Anders again, I really enjoy it, and it's a really good summer job.

Yoooo

So it's thursday night, I'm a little bored, thought I'd update and stuff, and junk..

My roommate matt leitch is sick, which sucks, I've been spraying disinfectant on everything he's touched, gone near, or even looked at in the past 24 hours, cause I really don't want to get sick again.  Getting sick sucks, especially after the stomach virus after christmas, and getting food poisening a few weekends ago.

So needless to say, I'm trying to stay as far away as from him as possible.

Eastside won their 6 straight state championship this year, which makes 8 out of the last 10, which is really just absurd.

Not only that, Eddie Coles is going for his 4th individual state title this year, which will make 4 team and 4 individual titles.  If he does this, then in the past 4 years, we will have had 4 consecutive wrestlers (Eddie, Corbin, JC, Leach) who have won 4 individual titles, and 4 team titles each.

(so many 4's in that last sentence)

Annnd now i'm gonna go shower, i'll post again soon

Haven't posted in a while

I haven't really posted in a while, so I thought I'd get on and just ramble a little.

I had a really good time in Alabama this past weekend, I love seeing the niece and nephew!

The new house is pretty sweet, manland and the pool are gonna be fun this summer.

While I was down, I went to practice w/ Jake and did some Brazilian Jujitsu with Chad, I really like it, and I think that if I worked at it, I could become pretty good, most of it came pretty naturally to me, because of my wrestling  background.

However, it's still not wrestling, I love wrestling, and it will always be my favorite sport, I don't think I'll ever like any sport more.

I've got some laundry, studying, working out, and other stuff to do, so I'm gone for now, unless I think of something fun to write about

The Mullet

Well, as most of you know, this christmas break, I grew a mullet and had some pictures taken for christmas cards to give to Mom, however, only 2 pictures made the cut.

Below are some examples of pictures that Didn't make the cut, and I've even STILL withheld some images, as they are just too ridiculous for any public to see at all...

My Big Toe

So, some of you may know, some of you may not know about the rather disgusting issue I have on my toe, so here goes the story...

It may seem a little gross, if so, I apologize..

So about a week ago, I had a hangnail, and I pulled it.

Normal so far, but it began to hurt more than a normal hangnail, and just kept nagging me and nagging me.

After a day or two it hurt extremely bad, causing extreme discomfort to walk or especially to run or do anything athletic.  It was constantly throbbing and I knew something wasn't right.  Upon looking at it, it was swollen, red, and purple around half of the toe-nail.

I decided to get it checked out, the doctor looked at it, kinda poked and prodded it a little, and said without even the slightest hesitation "I know exactly what that is."

"It's called Paronychia"  And she began to describe to me exactly what was going on...
-She informed me that my toenail had been 'traumatized' and it wanted to start growing inward, like an ingrown toe-nail, however my body didn't like it, and started building more tissue to fight against the nail growth in order to push it back in the normal direction.  Well in doing so, some of the extra tissue began to protrude from my toe... Paronychia.

so for the past 5-6 days, I've been giving my foot4 hot salt-water baths daily, along with antibiotics, regular cleaning with peroxide, and neosporin.

It's getting smaller everyday and soon hopefully everything will work itself out, however my Dr. actually seems to not want it to work out for the best, by dropping hints that she looked forward to having the chance to operate if things didn't go as planned.

VERY odd lady.

That's the disgusting story for the day, maybe an update to come later.
